Keep 100% of Tutoring Revenue: How White-Label Payments Work

Why 0% commission tutoring software matters. How connecting your own Stripe account works, what Launch Your Academy charges, and what Stripe still takes.

Tutoring businesses leak money in two places: marketplaces that take a cut of every lesson, and “platforms” that still sit in the payment flow so you never quite own the customer. White-label payments are simpler. Families pay you. Stripe deposits to your account. Launch Your Academy charges a software subscription, not a tax on your sessions.

What 0% commission does and does not mean

It means Launch Your Academy does not take a percentage of student subscriptions or tutoring session charges. Pricing is the plan you pay for the product: portals, branding, scheduling, video, AI homework help, and the rest.

It does not mean payments are free. Stripe charges its normal processing fees (card networks, payouts). Those fees exist whether you use a marketplace, a custom app, or a white-label academy. The difference is that a marketplace often takes a large commission on top of processing. We do not.

How Stripe-on-your-account works

  1. You create or connect a Stripe account that belongs to your academy or center, not to us.
  2. The platform uses that account for checkout, invoices, and payouts.
  3. Parents (or students, depending how you sell) pay packages or sessions as you configured them.
  4. Payouts follow Stripe’s schedule into your bank. You see the money in Stripe, not in a vendor dashboard you cannot export.

That structure is why we can say you keep 100% of tutoring revenue relative to us. Your books still show Stripe fees, refunds, and teacher pay. Those are your business, which is the point.

Marketplace math, quickly

If you bill $50 per hour and a marketplace takes 30%, $15 of that hour is gone before rent, teachers, or ads. Ten hours a week is $600 a month you spent on someone else’s brand. Over a year that is more than many academies will spend on software, and you still do not own the parent’s login.

Some tutors stay on marketplaces for discovery. That can be rational. Using a marketplace as your only billing system is how you fund their growth instead of yours. The comparison is in marketplace vs your own academy.

What parents experience

Parents should see your academy name on receipts and the portal, not a processor they do not recognize as you. Billing belongs in the parent seat so the adult can update a card without borrowing the student’s homework login. That is operations and trust, not a finance footnote.

If you need different billing logic

District invoicing, multi-entity payouts, or a product that is not session-based may not fit the standard Stripe setup. That is a custom solutions discussion. For a normal tutoring academy or center, connect Stripe, test a charge, and sell the next package on your domain.

When you are ready, open pricing, pick a plan, and Get Started. The payment model should be the easy part of owning your academy.
